This is a beautiful example of a very rare telephone. This was manufactured in 1938 and is a very sought after by collectors especially in Diakon material. All the parts are made form Diakon and the only repair is to the left hand drawer strip as photographed. The colour is very good with only a slight discolouration to the plastic parts. Please note even the T bar is Diakon which is not always the case. This telephone has no cracks splits or chips and is as good as you can find this material in. It is fitted with a very best quality hand plaited all British manufactured handset cord, a GPO specification round plastic line in cord and an electronic microphone. This telephone has a genuine GPO No10 all metal dial wit its original enamel face with only slight rubbing to the number 7 and is set up correctly and tested for speed and make and break etc. The telephone has been converted correctly and will dial out and receive perfectly. To improve speech quality it has been fitted with a 1950s receiver capsule. This can be changed if preferred. This model had no internal bell and so a small bell can be fitted in side if required and can be removed without any damage to the plastic parts if removed at a later date.
